It's over three years since the initial release of 'Clarendon' for BVE4 and there has been no further developments published since.  With the coming of openBVE, a complete rebuild is underway (there are some screenshots at http://dennis-lance.fotopic.net/c1531014.html) but in the interim, a few modifications have been made to the classic route to allow it to run more satisfactorily in openBVE.  The original route is still available at http://www.trainsimcentral.co.uk/ and is required.

Interim modified texture and object files to clear up all of the transparency issues are here - unzip to the Clarendon object directory, overwriting all content.  When running the legacy diagrams, errors will be reported, these may be ignored.  Some fully openBVE compatible diagrams will be made available in the future.

The coming of openBVE also allows exterior views of the trains.  This could also be extended to interior views and I have had a go at building a class 153 interior.  Required files to be placed in a (copy of a) 153 ext_view directory are here.

At the start of building, I decided to use a double skinned construction to give some depth to the bodyshell; with the benefit of hindsight this clearly has not worked well, the inner and outer walls being too far separated for the interior view, leaving visible gaps when seated inside yet too close for the exterior view to display free of z-fighting when viewed from a distance.  A higer resolution seat texture would also have been desirable - those pixel edges look lethal!

A higher resolution exterior texture would also have been useful;

Anyay, enough messing around with trains - I shall leave that to the trainbuilders!  Back to updating Clarendon...latest progress includes updated backgrounds and ground textures.
